New Denmark was a country in Lyra's world located on the North American continent. It was situated between New France in the north and Texas in the south. Parts of the country bordered the sea.[1] Scalping was banned in this country.[2] Skraelings came from New Denmark.
Lyra Belacqua told Marisa Coulter that a visiting scholar from this country came to Jordan and told her about Dust.[3]
