Allan was a servant of Carlo Boreal in Will's world. He acted as a chauffeur and also as a doorman.
Biography[]
Allan picked up Lyra Silvertongue from Norham Gardens and took her to South Parade. Since Allan did not open the door for Lyra, she had to climb out of the blue Rolls Royce over Boreal. Because of this, Boreal was able to steal the girl's alethiometer.[1]
When Lyra and Will went to retrieve the alethiometer, Allan answered the door.[1] Later, he drove them back to the window to Cittàgazze.[2]

Carlo Boreal, under the pseudonym of Charles Latrom, employed Allan as a servant. Boreal spoke freely about Æsahættr and the world of Cittàgazze in front of Allan, suggesting he trusted him greatly.[2]
